Return and exchange policies on vinyl

You are covered for porch theft, loss or damage in transit only if you purchased Route Package Protection.

This option is selected in your shopping cart by default and we recommend keeping it for the above reasons.

Should you choose to opt out of the Route Package Protection, we will not be able to exchange or refund your purchase in case of porch theft, loss or damage in transit.

What to do if your purchase is stolen, arrived damaged or lost in transit. 

    If your purchase was stolen, lost in transit or you received a damaged item, please follow these steps.

    What is considered damage:

    • breakage
    • ripped outer sleeve
    • rips to inner sleeves
    • major corner bends
    • Physical scratches in vinyl that cause the needle to skip

    What is generally not considered damage:

    • Minor seam splits on inner or outer sleeves, or corner dings are a common result of shipping vinyl all over the world and are not covered
    • Vinyl colour that is slightly different than what is represented in the photo
    • Variations in vinyl colour
    • Pressing spec that do not cause the needle to skip
    • Light scuffing and very light scratches
    • Minor warping

    Defective LPs:

    We only sell new, unopened, factory shrink-wrapped records. If the merchandise is factory defective, it has to be claimed no later than 3 days from the date of delivery.

    If there are factory-made damages on the record, we will take it back as defective records are sent back to the manufacturer.

    We will start a return and you will be issued a refund or sent a replacement record, once the defective record has been returned to us.

    • When a record skips due to physical damage to the vinyl

    Returns are subject to approval, so contact us at contact@highfidelityvinyl.store and we will instruct you on the process.

    We will review your claim and, at our discretion, may offer a replacement, store credit, or other remedy in accordance with applicable laws.
