Cancellations 

Final Sale items: Cancellations are not accepted when items are marked as final sale. Learn more about our Final Sale policies here.

Regular sale items: we honour cancellations made before the item has shipped with a 3% service fee on cancelled purchases. This is the fee charged by your credit card to process the initial purchase and is not refundable in case you change your mind. If your purchase was made in a currency other than CAD, the cancellation fee is 5%, which include foreign exchange fees.

For cancellations when paid with Klarna, there is a 7% service fee on cancelled purchasesThis is the fee charged by Klarna to process the original purchase and is not refundable.

If you still want to cancel the order, simply email us at contact@highfidelityvinyl.store with your name, email address and the order number and we will process your cancellation the same day.

In case you wish to cancel your order after the item has shipped, we consider it a return.

 

 

Returns

Because sometimes we just change our mind

If you have changed your mind and no longer want the item you purchased, we will accept your return with with the following conditions:

For unopened merchandise

  • Merchandise must be unopened and returned in the same condition it arrived in
  • Merchandise must be returned in the original packaging and the packaging has to be undamaged
  • You are responsible to cover the shipping costs of the return. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping or have us arrange it for you. If you choose to have us arrange for return shipping, the cost will be deducted from your refund.
  • Cost of the original shipping is not refundable
  • Once we receive the item, we will issue you the refund minus the 15% restocking fee (the re-stocking fee is calculated based on the full price of the item)

For opened, not defective merchandise

  • Merchandise must be returned in the original packaging and the packaging has to be undamaged
  • The item should be in mint physical condition, without any signs of wear & tear. We will inspect the returned merchandise upon receipt before issuing the refund.
  • Items with visible signs of wear & tear will not be accepted
  • You are responsible to cover the shipping costs of the return. You are welcome to arrange your own shipping or have us arrange it for you. If you choose to have us arrange for return shipping, the cost will be deducted from your refund.
  • Cost of the original shipping is not refundable
  • Once we receive the item, we will issue you the refund minus the 25% restocking fee (the re-stocking fee is calculated based on the full price of the item).


Return due to undeliverable shipments

It is customers' responsibility to fill out the correct postal address on your order, provide specific delivery instructions if necessary and arrange that your package is received at your address.

We have seen our deliveries turned away for these and similar reasons:

  • Incorrect address
  • Package refused at the door
  • Recipient not at the address

When this happens, we have to initiate an investigation with the shipper to understand what exacly happened. We do not issue refunds or replacements until we have received feedback from the shipper. This may take 2-5 working days.

Once we receive the shipment back we have 2 options:

  • Re-send the order: if this is your choice, there will be the cost of additional shipping, even if your original shipment was free. The cost is calculated on your delivery address and we will do our best to give you a discounted shipping rate.
  • Refund the order: We will gladly refund your order, minus the return shipping fee, minus the 10% restocking fee  (the re-stocking fee is calculated based on the full price of the item, not the sale price)

     

    Replacements on electronics:

    We honour replacements in case of damaged, incorrectly shipped or defective turntables, cassette players and headphones.

    Incorrectly shipped items:

    Because sometimes mistakes happen.

    If you received a wrong item, you are eligible for a free replacement. Please contact us asap via contact@highfidelityvinyl.store

    • If you have received a wrong variant of the album (i.e. you wanted Taylor Swift Blue vinyl, but you received a Taylor Swift Red vinyl) we will ask you if you want to keep the vinyl and we may offer you a small refund to compensate you for your trouble.
    • If you have received a completely different album (i.e. you wanted Taylor Swift's Midnights vinyl but somehow got Harry Style's Fine Line) we will send you a replacement free of charge.

    In either case, we want to make sure you send us the proof of the wrong item, so have your phone camera handy:

    1. Take a photo of the wrong item.
    2. Take a photo of the packing slip that came in the package
    3. Send it both to us to the email above with your claim.

    Once we receive the proof of the wrong item delivered, we will send you a pre-paid return label with the tracking number. Your replacement will be sent 1 business day after the return has been received.

     

    Defective electronics:

    Because sometimes it's just a faulty product.

    If the merchandise is defective, and it is within 30 days of order receipt we will happily exchange it for you. You are eligible for a free replacement with the same item.

    Returns are subject to approval, so contact us at contact@highfidelityvinyl.store and we will instruct you on the process.

    Once your return is approved, we will send you a pre-paid return label with the tracking number.

    Your refund / replacement will be sent after the return tracking shows progress.

    In case of a refund, original shipping and handling charges are not refundable.
